The dispatcher will be responsible to coordinate the activities of our drivers, maintain communication with drivers and customers, and ensure all the necessary details are communicated to both parties in a timely and effective manner.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Answer all lines and assist customers, drivers and other divisions.
- Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of multiple drivers and equipment.
- Monitor drivers check in’s/check out’s during shifts.
- Accurately records and documents information from customers and/or drivers.
- Process payments received (handling cash, Point of Sale machines).
- Sorting and filing of documents, entering information into various systems.
- Communicate effectively and professionally via email, telephone, and two way devices.
- Perform any other general duties as assigned.
- Previous Towing or Transportation dispatching is a MUST.
- Advanced skill level with software applications.
- Ability to read instructions, follow written policies and procedures and take direction.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to maintain concentration and mental alertness in a variety of situations.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining great attention to details.
- Knowledge of street and road systems in Edmonton and surrounding areas
