Job Title:Registered Nurse
Location: Toronto, Ontario
Shift: Morning, Night, Overnight
Wage: $35-40/Hour

Our client is a private health professional consulting group that includes a team of physicians, RN’s and related health professionals committed to helping individuals plan for a healthy future.

Located in Thornhill, their team works closely with each client to assess his or her current health strengths and health liabilities.

They are currently looking for an experienced RN to replace a retiring RN of 25 years’ service.

Job duties

  • Assess patients to identify appropriate nursing interventions
  • Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate patient care in consultation with patients and their families
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a physician or according to established policies and protocols
  • Monitor, assess, address, document and report symptoms and changes in patients & conditions
  • Operate or monitor medical apparatus or equipment
  • Assist in minor surgery and other medical procedures
  • May supervise licensed practical nurses and other nursing staff
  • May develop and implement discharge planning process on admission of patients
  • May teach and counsel patients and their families on health-related issues in collaboration with other health care providers.

Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Ontario.
  • Minimum 5 years’ of nursing experience, preferably in a hospital or private health care clinic.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medication administration protocols.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families and healthcare professionals.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as required.
